Digimo Camera Concept

As you can tell by the headline, this is a concept camera. The Digimo has three cool features, and even one would be enough to sell it on the existing camera market.
The first is that it can split in two. This comes in handy for situations where you need to take a picture of something remotely. You can even see a picture of what you are taking, as there is an LCD on both halves.
The second feature is that it can do 3D pictures. As you might know, 3D pictures are taken with two different camera lenses. When both halves are put together, this camera can get you the 3D pics that you want, if you are into that type of thing.
The third feature is that the Digimo is very modular. It has an extendable telescopic leg that can reach up to 50 centimeters, and you can see the ball and socket connectors that can stand one half of the camera at an angle.

The IRIS 9000 lets you talk to Siri like HAL

I am sure that by now you have heard about Siri, a feature on the iPhone 4S. I haven’t had a chance to try it out, but I believe that you should be able to ask Siri a question, and you’ll get an answer.
Yes, the age of conversing with computers has finally come. It was shown to us in films like2001: A Space Odyssey with the HAL 9000, and is now a reality. Granted, it is the year 2011, but ten years late is better than never.
If you go to ThinkGeek right now, you can check out the IRIS 9000, which allows you to use Siri from a distance. (Iris is Siri spelled backwards.) You can use the IRIS 9000 as a standard spearkerphone to make and receive calls, and an included micro remote triggers Siri with the press of a button.

Korg WAVEDRUM Mini Dynamic Percussion Synthesizer

For those who are into music, especially the percussion variety, then you definitely want to check out the WAVEDRUM MINI from Korg.
This device has the unique ability to turn any surface into a drum. I’m not talking about a drum that sounds like someone beating on a hard surface, but something much more musical. All that is required is to attach the sensor clip to the side, and you have two drums that you can play with. The second includes the pad on the unit itself.
The WAVEDRUM Mini has 100 ready-to-play sounds that range from acoustic tones to synthetic sounds, and it also has the same amount of rhythm patterns. The user also can select any effect and enhance any sound with 10 preset audio effects.

Actually it’s neither. Instead it’s calculating and ruthless, striking at the precise moment when your sleep is most shallow, thus amplifying the pain. It’s supposed to measure brainwaves, see, then gauge the most opportune moment to wake you. So how does this make it exceptional? Well, because it measures brainwaves during sleep, this alarm clock can pinpoint the best time to nightmarishly jolt you out of slumber. Great idea, no?

FoamBoat Multiplies Itself With Sentient Foam (Videos)

Ah, robotics. If it were only sexier. That’s pretty much the biggest hurdle of this exciting industry. You might think otherwise, however, and claim that a fully functional AI is the big challenge facing primitive robot kind at its current state. Fine, that’s valid too. But really, a good dose of aesthetics should go into robot manufacturing. At their best, most somewhat autonomous robots look like clunky appliances circa the Jetsons. Ugh!
