10 Minutes Of Battlefield 3 Single Player Campaign Leaked (video)


Even before its official release copies of Battlefield 3 have already landed in stores ready to be immanently shipped to their final destinations. But it looks like one box seems to have been opened a little ahead of the official release and has found it way on to YouTube.
Providing a 10 minute insight into what you can expect from the single Player campaign. Spoiler alert : watch the first 10 minutes of the new Battlefield 3 game after the jump, including boot-up screens through to the intro and then on to gameplay.

Casetagram Creates Custom iPhone Cases From Your Instagram Photos


If you are a big user and fan of Instagram you might be interested to know that a new service has started that allows you to create custom iPhone cases from your Instagram photographs.
The new service called Casetagram uses Instagrams API to allow you to use your own photographs and provides a range of templates with different layouts for you to choose from. Once you have decided on the look and feel of your iPhone Casetagra will then magically transform your design in to a real iPhone case.

Google Music’s “Twist” Is Song Sharing?


Earlier this week Google’s Andy Rubin confirmed that Google are developing their own music store, and revealed that when it is launched it would come with a Twist. Apparently and unnamed source within the music industry has divulged  that  the “twist”Rubin is talking about is music sharing.
Allowing Google Music users to “send” songs they have purchased to their friends. Exact details on how the system will work are still a little sketchy at the moment but its thought that the songs will be granted a certain number of plays or have a time limited applied to them in some way.

Microsoft Gives Us More Details On Windows 8 Tablets (Videos)


We have already seen quite a few different videos showing Microsoft’s new Windows 8 platform running on both tablets and PC’s, and now Microsoft has released a new video of Windows 8 running on a tablet.
The tablet in the video is the Samsung Windows 8 prototype that we saw previously and this time we get to see how Windows 8 will look on tablets in both landscape and portrait modes.

Gears of War 3: RAAM’s Shadow DLC Lands December 13th


Epic Games has today announced the arrival date of their second DLC for Gears oF War 3 , “RAAM’s Shadow” which will now be landing on December 13th and will be available for 1200pts or for free if you purchased the Season Pass.
The new Gears of War 3: RAAM DLC content will star a cast of characters both new and eerily familiar to the series and provide 3 hours of campaign play, but in a prequel storyline. Its will also include 6 new multiplayer characters, a chocolate weapon set and 250 addition Gamerscore to earn.

Earlier this week Google unveiled the latest version of its mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Samsung unveiled the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

BioWare Unveils Mass Effect 3 Demo Details


BioWare have today unveiled new details about their Mass Effect 3 Demo which is expected to arrive sometime in January 2012. The pre-release demo will have both single player and multiplayer gameplay sections and will be released in all regions.Providing a good slice of what you can expect from the main game once its officially launched on March 6th 2012.
If you are thinking of purchasing the Battlefield 3 game, redemption of the online pass included with this release, will provide you with early access. But dont worry if you not buying Battlefield, 3 as BioWare says it will be revealing other ways to access the earl demo towards the end of the year.

Google Android Movie Rental Service Arrives In The UK


Today Google has launched their new Android movie rental service in the UK, allowing any resident within the UK to rent films from the Android Market. With prices starting from as little as £2.49.
The Google Android film rental service has already been rolled out in the United States and in a UK service users will now have access to a library of around 1000 films. To be able to watch rented films on your Android devices you will need to install the Video application first.

iPad 2 Smart Cover Security Flaw Found (video)


The guys over at 9 to 5 Mac have found a security flaw on the iPad 2, when it is being used with Apple’s Smart Cover, and basically the security flaw will let you unlock the iPad using just the Apple smart cover, even if the passcode lock is on.
The security flaw doesn’t give full access to everything on your iPad, but say you were last in Safari or Contacts, when you closed your iPad, the hack would allow access to the last app you were in, as you will see in the video below.

RIM In Trouble Over BBX Platform Name


RIM has this week dropped its self in a little hot water after it announced its new BBX Platform name. Unfortunately the BBx name is already in use by another company Basis International, who claims “BBx” is the name of their software platform that it has already trademarked.
RIM has not been having much luck of late and the launch of their new BBX Platform was hoped to help it regain a little faith in both investors and consumers with its products. After a network outage for a number of days in the second week of October further dented the troubled mobile manufactures customer base.

Apple Shows Off iPhone 4S Siri In New TV Ad (Video)


When Apple announced the new iPhone 4S, one of the major new features it announced for the device was its new voice activated assistant, Siri, and now Apple has released a new TV advert featuring Siri.
The video below shows Siri in action, although it seems to work perfectly in the TV advert, something that we haven’t found so far whilst testing it out.

Ice Cream Sandwich Provides Android With Native Stylus Support


Google’s latest build Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.0 now has native stylus support enabling developers to easily take advantage of pressure recognition, hover tracking and nib-tilt, together with differentiation between stylus and finger use, as well as providing support for styluses with up to three buttons.
The discovery was made by Reddit who discovered the native Stylus support within the Android 4.0 highlights, and has been added by Google to enhance the sketching and drawing capabilities of Android 4.0 devices.

Android Google Maps Update Brings NFC Support


Google has updated Google Maps ahead of the launch of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and the latest version of Google Maps now comes with support for NFC (Near Filed Communications).
According to the guys over at Phandroid, the update notes say that the only change in the latest version of Google Maps for Android was related to reduced app storage size for devices with different screen resolutions.

Android Ice Cream Sandwich Ported To Nexus S 4G


Google has already announced that they will be releasing the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Google Nexus S, and yesterday we heard that Google had released the Android Ice Cream Sandwich SDK.
According to the guys over at Android Central, one of the members of their forums, Beezy has already started work on porting Android Ice Cream Sandwich to the Nexus S 4G.

Modern Warfare 3 Trailer Introduces ‘Strike Package’ Classes (video)


A fresh trailer has been released today revealing the ’Strike Package’ Classes within the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game. Strike Packages have been added and designed to reward different play styles and skill levels.
Breaking the player base down into three classes: Assault, which earns the standard set of offensive killstreaks; Support, which unlocks less offensive killstreaks (like UAVs and turrets), but doesn’t have their streak reset upon death; and Specialist, which earns no killstreaks, but unlocks additional Perks every two consecutive kills.

Major Gmail Update And User Interface Redesign Arriving Soon (video)


Google has been working hard lately revamping a number of its applications and services and soon Gmail will also be receiving a major update and new user interface redesign. The new Gmail interface is based on the Preview theme that is already available in Gmail. But new features will also be arriving with the update, including a new action bar that uses icons instead of the traditional text labels Google has used in the past.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus To Hit The UK 17th November


We recently heard that the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus is expected to retail for around £515 when it goes on sale here in the UK, and that it would launch some time in November, and now it would appear it will be available in the UK from the 17th of November.
According to the guys over at Clove, Samsung has confirmed to them that the Galaxy Nexus will be available in the UK from the 17th of November, and the company has also said that they will start selling the device from that date.

Nokia Sabre Windows Phone Prototype Leaked?



Next week at the 2011 Nokia World, which starts on the 25th of October and takes place in London, we will finally get our first look at Nokia’s new Windows Phone 7 smartphones.
Yesterday we saw some leaked photos of the new Nokia 800 and today we have another photo which is reported to be of the Nokia Sabre Windows Phone, and from the looks of the photo below it is a prototype version of the device.
