Apple Creating Airport Utility App For iOS
Its been discovered in the recent release of iOS5 Gold Master that Apple is currently working on creating a new Airport Utility App For iOS. Apple has stated that one of its goals in developing iOS 5 is to make iOS devices “PC free,”.
The new discovery would follow those lines allowing iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners running iOS 5 to set up their AirPort stations without needing to use a computer.

Dragons Heading To Minecraft?
Developer and creator of Minecraft, Markus “Notch” Persson over the weekend tweeted a picture of a blocky, untextured dragon soaring around his Minecraft world and explained that he’s currently “developing epicness for Minecraft!”.
Could this mean that the world of Minecraft could soon include dragons? Let hope so. As you can see by the tweeted image below the Minecraft Dragons are still in a very early stage at the moment and still don’t have any textures on them.

iPhone 4 Cases May Not Fit The iPhone 4S

Starbucks has today unveiled a new free Wi-Fi services they have rolled out to 650 of their UK stores allowing Starbucks customers to now enjoy free Wi-Fi access without the need for a registered Starbucks Card to log or the need to be members of the Starbucks Rewards programme to access the free Wi-Fi.
The new service now allows you to simply click ‘Connect’ and enjoy one-click, high speed Wi-Fi access. Each Wi-Fi session lasts for 2 hours but you can have an unlimited number of sessions every day – just reconnect after 2 hours.

iPhone 4S Pre-orders Hit 1 Million In 24 Hours
It looks like the iPhone 4S is going to be an even bigger success for Apple than last years iPhone 4 launch, as Apple has just announced that iPhone 4S pre-orders have gone one 1 million in the first 24 hours.
This would make it Apple’s most successful iPhone launch to date, when compared to last years figures of 600,000 iPhone 4 units ordered within the first 24 hours.

Netflix Cancels Qwikster DVD Rental Business
Netflix has today announced that their plans to split the netflix company into two distinct businesses, one for DVD rentals and the other for streaming has been shelved. Closing down the plans to create Qwikster which would have been the DVD side of the business.
The turnaround is due to customer feedback after the announcement last week, with customers venting frustration that they would have to now have two accounts and use two websites might making things much more difficult for all parties.
Samsung Stratosphere Gets Official, Hits Verizon 13th October
We have been hearing quite a lot about the new Samsung Stratosphere over the last few weeks, it is now official and it will be available on Verizon Wireless in the US from the 13th of October.

LG Announces New True HD IPS Smartphone Display
Last week LG announced the LG Optimus LTE, which is LG’s first smartphone to come with a HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and now LG has released some more information about their new HD smartphone display which they call the True HD IPS display.
LG’s True HD IPS display measures 4.5 inches and it feature a 329 ppi ‘real RGB’ resolution, and according LG, IPS displays perform better than AMOLED displays for color, brightness and battery efficiency.

O2 Releases iPhone 4S UK Price And Plans
UK mobile carrier O2 is the last company to release details of its pricing and plans for the new Apple iPhone 4S, and the iPhone 4S will be available on 24 month and 18 month plans for new customers and 24 month, 18 month and 12 month plans for new customers.
Prices start at £299.99 for the 16GB iPhone 4S on O2′s cheapest monthly contract which will cost you £15.50 a month, although this doesn’t include any data, and this will cost you an extra £3 a month for 100MB, £6 for 500MB or £10 for 1Gb of data.
iPhone Floating Orchestra Brings Music To Life (video)
A new iPhone music application and very unique device has been developed by the Poietic Studio, a London-based company that specialises in ‘interactive and spatial design, art and engineering”.
The iPhone Floating Orchestra allows you to control a bed of 19 floating balls with each one corresponding to a specific instrument. Skyrim’s Leaked Map Unveils Huge Gaming Area With Nine Major Cities
If you are looking forward to playing Bethesda new Skyrim game, a leaked copy of Skyrim’s game map provides a great view of what you can expect from the new game once it is released next month.

Hex Icon Watch Band For iPod Nano
Last week along with the launch of the iPhone 4S Apple also announced its latest iPod Nano, which basically features the same design as the previous model, but comes with some new features and specifications.

Nokia’s Symbian Belle Update Coming 26th October
Nokia will be releasing an OTA (Over The Air) update for its Symbian smartphones later this month, and devices which are on the Symbian Ann version will be getting updated to Symbian Belle.
The update will be released as an OTA update to the Nokia N8, C7, E7, E6, X7 and the Nokia C6-01 on the 26th of October, which is the same day that Nokia World 2011 starts in London.
Sprint Shipping iPhone 4S Pre-orders To Customers?
Apple’s fifth generation iPhone, the iPhone 4S went up for pre-order last Friday and it will go on sale in the US, UK and Europe this Friday, the 14th of October, but now it would appear that one US carrier has already started shipping the iPhone 4S out to customers.
It isn’t clear as yet whether anyone who has pre-ordered an iPhone 4S will receive it early, before the official launch this Friday, and some users are expecting to get their iPhone 4S a little early.

Sony To Pay $1 Billion For Full Control Of Sony Ericsson?
On the weekend we heard that Sony is looking to buy Ericsson out of their Sony Ericsson smartphone partnership, where the two companies produces mobile phones together under the Sony Ericsson brand.
Sony and Ericsson started working together about 10 years ago, and signed a 10 year deal to produce mobile phones and smartphones together, and now it would appear that Sony wants full control of Sony Ericsson.
China Blocks Google’s Android Market
Google and the Chinese government haven’t exactly had the best relationship, with China trying to sensor most of Google’s offerings, including Google search, Gmail and more, it would appear that Google’s Android Market is now blocked in China.
According to a recent report market.android.com has now been blocked in China, which would mean that Chinese Android fans will no longer be able to download apps from the Android Market.
Google+ 2.0 Android App Leaked And Available To Download
In addition to the Google Music 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich app leaked over the weekend. A new Google+ 2.0 Android app for Google’s social network has also surfaced and is available to download from the Android Police website.
In a similar vein to the leaked Google Music 4.0.1 application, the new Google+ app has a redesigneduser interface which provides a much improved layout and more refined navigation than the previous version.

A new trailer called Redemption, has been released for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game which is arriving early next month. This new trailer show a little more of the single player campaign and what you can expect from the story line within the game.

GSM Nexus Prime Appears At The FCC
Google and Samsung were expected to announce the new Google Nexus Prime tomorrow, the event has now been postponed and we will probably here something about the Nexus Prime or the Samsung Galaxy Nexus later this month.
Last week we got our first look at the new Google Nexus Prime, in the form of a video, and now it would appear that a GSM version of the Google Nexus Prime has turned up at the FCC, which could mean it is headed to AT&T and also possibly T-Mobile.
Google Music 4 Android Ice Cream Sandwich Version Leaked
If you are a Google Music fan you might be interested to know that a new Google Music 4.0.1 version has been leaked which has apparently been designed for the new Ice Cream Sandwich Android build, which is expected to arrive shortly.

AT&T Sells 200,000 iPhone 4S In 12 Hours
When Apple announced the iPhone 4S last week, it wasn’t actually met with the response you would expect for a new iPhone announcement, with many people expecting a new iPhone 5, lots of people,l including many technology sites seemed disappointed with the announcement.
It would appear that Apple fans don’t feel the same, as AT&T has announced that they have received over 200,000 pre-orders of the iPhone 4S in the first 12 hours since it went on sale, and it seems that demand has been similar direct from Apple and also mobile carriers here in the UK.
New Dual Core A5 Apple TV Discovered In iOS 5
Apple’s next version of its mobile OS, iOS 5 will be released this week, on Wednesday the 12th of October, and the guys over at 9 to 5 Mac have been doing some digging around in iOS 5 and have discovered a reference to a version of Apple’s set top box, the Apple TV.
According to the report, a reference has been found to an Apple TV 3,1, the model number for the current Apple TV is 2,1, and we could possibly see the new Apple TV launch with an A5 processor which is found in the iPad 2 and the new iPhone 4S which goes on sale later this week.
Apple Files Patent For In App Purchases
Some of our readers will remember the company called Lodsys, who is suing a wide range of developers for ‘in app purchases’ on both Apple’s iOS platform and Google’s Android platform, as the company holds a number of patents relating to in app purchases.
Apple already has an agreement in place with Lodsys to use the patents, but the reason Lodsys is suing the individual developers is that the company claims this agreement doesn’t cover them.

LG's Plasma TV With 'Pentouch'
This TV can be connected to a computer. Users then activate the “PenTouch” mode on the remote control. In PenTouch mode, users can access files created on their PCs and manipulate them, edit them, or move them around the screen.
Pen batteries can be recharged through USB ports on the TV or PC. Using PenTouch software, which is provided with the TV, users can draw pictures directly onto the screen and then save the files for further editing. Alternatively, users can try to play a game of Angry Birds using the Pentouch.
The LG PenTouch TV uses a scratch-resistant glass screen and comes with a stand that has been designed to provide more stability when owners or their children are using the PenTouch feature, LG says.
